 Workshop Fibre Optic Day

Next course:-

This course should satisfy reasonable prerequisites for the City and Guilds 3667.Units 02/03.

Since we started running this course back in December 2010 we have made many changes to the course content to cover a wider view of fibre technology, because of this we have now changed the course name to "Fibre Optic Technology" we will of course still be covering FTTH and IRS Systems within the course.

Under approval by BSkyB as an endorsed Fibre Training Course.

Click on the link at the top of this page for Course Dates & Bookings.

All tools, sundries, connectors, splice joints supplied for use on course.

.                                        Full Colour Course Manual and Power Point CD supplied for you to keep.

Fibre Optic training, where we focus on the practical skills to enable trainees to put their new found skill to the test and hit the ground running.

This comprehensive 1-day course has been designed for new entrants into the Fibre communication sector, however is also relevant to fibre engineers, maintenance personnel and those already working with fibre optic cabling within internal or external cabling environment and wishing to enter the FTTH market. Course trainers, Roger Miles (Satsearch).Well know in the Satellite, Fibre Systems and Networking support field.

Over 250 Engineers and Sales Staff trained to date

Delegates learn, through extensive theoretical study and actual hands-on practical exercises. Covering system planning, cabling distances, hazards associated with fibre, distribution and the termination of external grade cables into external enclosures and street cabinets, testing and fault finding. Learn how to trace and repair fibre optic faults with low cost tooling, no fusion splicer required.

Probable one of the best courses for equipment training you will come across. We know the products as we work every day with it and also sell it.

Who should attend
Those wanting to start a career in FTTH or those already working in the fibre environment and wishing to extend their skills and knowledge in FTTH market. A basic knowledge of Satellite and IRS Systems would be recommended.

Course objectives.

Delegates will have gained the knowledge, skills and understanding of the terminology involved when dealing with passive optical fibre cabling and equipment for FTTH & IRS, Data LAN Systems.

Prerequisites.

No previous fibre experience is necessary but a basic knowledge of Satellite and IRS Systems would be recommended.

To book you place on one of the training courses just click on the basket, click on checkout, enter your details, payments details or Invoice and we will send you you booking details.

Certificate award :-  At the end of the course there is a short test, when successfully completed candidates will be issued with a certificate. A Certificate will be awarded by Satsearch as recognition of CPD in specialist areas of learning & development and change.

Feedback from courses.

Thank you for an interesting and informative course......EM

“I enjoyed the personalized class. The one on one time with the instructor and the hand on training were exactly what I needed. The instructor had a vast knowledge and was courteous and helpful.“

“The course was great for me, the hands on portions made the difference. The instructor did a great job and really knew the equipment and was able to answer all of my questions.“

"Having attended the FTTH course I was very happy with the format and the in-depth and up to date information presented. To date I have not found a course that will give such a solid foundation to Fibre Optics and Infrastructure design". Well recommended.

"Very Enjoyable & Interesting course, Although I had some limited experience this training will really add to my chances of getting more work."

"Just wanted to send you a quick thank you for the training day yesterday. I found it very useful and I will be setting up a small fibre network at home to gain some more experience in putting a system together. So hopefully I will be contacting you soon to buy some product to get me going." ......ST Farham.

"Good all round course, well delivered".......NB Kent.

"This is regarding a fibre-optic installation course I recently went on. I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the course and wanted to praise the course tutor.

"The course was very good, I found the content challenging and informative".....AP London.

Staff from both Solutions and Eurosat have now attended courses to further there knowledge on fibre systems.
